In the near vicinity are a lot of activities. For example taking a refreshing walk along the boulevard or taking a bicycleride across the peninsula of Walcheren. One of our recommendations is of course spending a nice day on the beach.

The city of Vlissingen is also worthwhile! There are many fun shops and beautiful old alleyways to discover.

You could try out the walk to the trainstation of Vlissingen, over the locks, near the windmill towards the boulevard and the old city centre. Each is a sight on its own. We recommend ending the walk with a cup of coffee or another beverage in one of Vlissingen's many nice bars.

On the other side of the sea lies Zeeuws-Vlaanderen, the most Southern region of Zeeland. Near the trainstation of Vlissingen starts the fast-ferry to Breskens, which goes twice every hour. Don't forget to bring a bicycle when the weather is nice, so you can enjoy a great bicycleride in Zeeuws-Vlaanderen.

Middelburg, Goes and Zierikzee are three nearby cities, all of them equally old with a rich history, which can be easily accessed by car or public transportation.
